Review of Avatar

AGE APPROPRIATENESS:

I have never in my life seen a movie that made me feel every blow and every bang. It is a great movie and will have you at the edge of your seat for the entire movie. It is great for anyone over the age of 10 but even then you should talk to him or her before hand and tell them that its a heavy movie and their is a lot of violence and drama. If you have kids go to this sight for more details about what is in the movie: http://www.kids-in-mind.com/a/avatar.htm.

GRAPHICS:

The graphics are amazing and are capturing your imagination in a fantasy world. The "Avatars" are fascinating to look at because they have the scales of a lizard and the body of a human. The world they live in is so complex and amazing. They have creatures that are as big as a building and as small as a sparrow. They are truly revolutionary and you can tell that they spent a lot of money to make them amazing.

SPIRITUALITY:

The "Avatars" are spiritual in so many ways. They believe that they are connected to everything. They use "twine" from their hair to attach to their surroundings so they can see and feel what the other creature is going through.

CONNECTIONS:

In this movie they make many connections to current events and human history. There were parts of the movie that reminded me of how and why the Europeans killed the Native Americans. In one part of the movie, the humans, who had more advanced weapons and wanted to take the Avatar's land, attacked the Avatars with the goal of extinction. The humans used gas bombs into the "Home tree" of the Avatars to kill anyone, including children. Although Europeans didn't use poison gas, they did use smallpox as a way of wiping out Native Americans who they could not kill on the battle field.

OVERALL:

Overall, this is an amazing movie and it will astonish and amaze anyone who sees it.
