SATURDAY:
In a semi-packed Boston Garden, two teams begin their NLL Lacrosse season. The Boston Blazers coming off of a playoff birth last season was hoping to start 2010 with a bang. The Toronto Rocks had a different idea. It didn't take long for one team to make a statement, sadly it wasn't the Blazers. Toronto was aggressive and outplayed the Blazer's defense. Cosmo, the Blazer's goalie, a five time all-pro and former Goalie of the Year, looked lost as he allowed 12 goals by the end of the game. His backup, Poulin, didn't fair much better, allowing 5 goals in just one quarter. Dan Dawson, the Blazer's captain and NLL MVP, was invisible in the first half, but in the second half, came around with 3 goals and 2 assists. It was not enough as the Blazers went down 17-7. Even though they lost, Blazers Lacrosse is really great and I hope you tune in.
SUNDAY:
When it comes to the Patriots it was plain ugly. It was so bad I nearly turned off the TV after the first quarter. It was unbelievably humiliating for New England. Brady fell apart. Never in my life have I seen Brady have 4 turnovers (interceptions and fumbles). The defense was worse than a high school team. My great-grandmother could have gained 100 yards and she's 93! Lets hope that they can rebound from this defeat and come back next season.
